Charities are being urged to apply for grants of between £14,400 and £72,000 to improve their website. The funding programme from the Nominet Trust that totals £270,000, is being managed by charity website specialists Raising IT and covers technology costs and some support services. Eligible charities must be able to pay a set-up fee of £10,000 and have an annual income in excess of £1 million. Tom Latchford, founder of Raising IT, said the grant would help charities raise more cash online or via social media by allowing them to revamp their website or create new micro-sites, enabling them to carry out strategic fundraising. Applications must be submitted by 23rd September 2013.
